Group Training Classes:
We offer a variety of group training classes for dogs of all ages and abilities. Our classes are small (no more than 5 people) and are designed to give you the tools and knowledge needed to teach your dog how to be a polite member of the family. All of our classes use positive methods and teach the method of “clicker training”. For more information on our group dog training classes, click here. We now are accepting payment for our classes online! You can pay with all major credit cards as well as an existing PayPal account if you have one.
Workshops:
The Collared Scholar is now offering two hour workshops! These workshops are designed to work on one specific training issue that you may be experiencing with your dog. If you are having a particular problem with your dog and find committing to a five week class is challenging, then our workshops might work for you. Our current workshops include Coming When Called, Polite Greeting, and Polite Walking. See our list of classes for dates of upcoming workshops.
Behavior Consultations:
Some problems that owners experience with their dogs cannot be resolved in the time frame of a group training class. In other cases, the behavior problem itself in not conducive to a group class environment. We offer behavior consultations for non-aggression related behavior issues for the following:
Separation Anxiety
Fearful behavior
On-leash dog reactivity
Out of control, or unmanageable behavior
Housetraining
Predatory Issues
Recall Work

Our consultations usually last an average of 90 minutes and cost $75.00/hour. We provide a behavior packet that includes a clicker training manual, as well as a myriad of handouts that pertain specifically to your dog’s behavior issue. Phone Consultations:
Sometimes, mild behavioral issues can be worked out over the phone. We offer phone consultations for the following:
